Plug-and-Play Container Storage and Networking in Rancher Environments
Since its initial release, Rancher has included cross-host networking for containers. For storage, we introduced the Convoy storage driver framework, which enabled Docker containers to access persistent storage volumes implemented by NFS or EBS. Now we're introducing fully pluggable networking and storage frameworks for Rancher environments in the upcoming 1.2 release of Rancher.
In this meetup, we'll demonstrate:
- Deploying enironments with persistent storage solutions that support Docker VolumeDriver and Kubernetes FlexVolume
- Environment level support for Container Networking Model (CNM) and Container Network Interface (CNI) networking platforms.
- New storage and networking solutions in Kubernetes, Mesos, or Docker Swarm
As always, we’ll be demoing all of this live, and answer any and all questions you may have about Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher and anything else container-related.
