As organizations adopt Kubernetes as the de facto standard for container orchestration, operational challenges remain, particularly as enterprises look beyond their hybrid cloud environments to the Edge.

With the recent release of K3s as GA and Rio as Beta, Rancher Labs is moving closer to offering a complete solution stack for ITOps and DevOps teams to ‘Run Kubernetes Everywhere’:

K3s is a lightweight Kubernetes distribution designed for use in edge production environments and for agile development environments.

Rio is an application development engine, which makes it fast and easy to build, test, deploy, scale, and version stateless apps in any Kubernetes cluster.

In this Online Meetup, Rancher Co-Founder Shannon Williams and Rancher Product Manager Bill Maxwell will discuss:

  • Key considerations when delivering Kubernetes-as-a-Service to  DevOps teams
  • Understanding the “Run Kubernetes Everywhere” solution stack from Rancher Labs including RKE, K3s, Rancher 2.3 and Rio
  • Getting started with K3s with Rancher 2.3
  • Streamlining your application deployment workflows with Rio: build, deploy, and manage containerized applications at scale
